Man's achievements in the field of science and technology have helped to improve the material conditions of living. What we need today, is a transformation of the soul. Education should serve not only to develop one’s intelligence and skills but also help broaden one’s outlook and make useful to the society and the world at large. It must result in purifying one’s perception. Even technology must be dedicated to the promotion of high ideals and human values.
Education should help to make students the embodiments of human values. It is said, “Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.” The future of our children lies in our hands, let us jointly hold hands and make them true human beings, worthy of all mankind and achieve a high level of living, involving our mind, intellect, and consciousness. School is a constantly transforming entity like the flowing waters, igniting little lamps of hope and wisdom as well as fostering character and discipline. My ultimate endevour, as a proud Principal of this great entity, had been not only to maintain the flow i.e., to churn out better individuals but also to transform their immediate environment by equipping the faculty with newer educational strategies and training, developing the infrastructure and facilitate a steady blossoming from the playgrounds to the hostel to new and updated measures of excellence in every sphere of teaching- learning surroundings. But at the same time, I must admit it is all possible with the extended cooperation and support of all, my colleagues, students, and parents considerably.
Today VPM Gyan Niketan School, Bairia, Daltonganj is recognized as an institution of excellence that nurtures intellectual and academic pursuits, provides adequate opportunities to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and creates a conducive environment for overall development of young inquisitive minds when they enter the portals of their esteemed and vibrant institution. No wonder it sends out some of the brightest minds into the world, who carry their education no matter where they go.
